This book was entertaining, a sweet love story, the concept was interesting and fun, but... There could have been so much more to it. It starts out as an American Idolesque competition. The producer falls for a contestant before the show even starts filming. My only issue with it is it seems like someone cut out big chunks of the story that I would have really liked to read. They decide to be together and then it jumps to the next plot point 2 weeks later that leads to the (inevitable, therefore not a spoiler) break up. Because of that you don't really get to see the relationship develop so you don't really connect with them as a couple. Again, the end seemed rushed with events being summarized instead of experienced. There also should have been some kind of interaction with her mother. The reader gets that she doesn't care about her mom because of circumstances but there still should have been some kind of resolution. Without giving anything away, I'll just say that I found it odd, considering the events that took place at the end of the book, that she didn't make some kind of appearance.

It starts kind of live American Idol and the producer screws up and they fall in love. It's their path. Just okay.
This book was just not my cup of tea, at all. It was way too far out of the realm of reality for me to really enjoy it. I understand that these romance novels are often embellished and rushed for the sake of the story, but it was just missing way too much for me to enjoy it. The way they were thrown into living together made no sense to me. One second, Angela and Nolan were just meeting, the next he's making stupid decisions that require her to move in. Ok, I can deal with that. But then, her step father comes back into the picture and am I the only one who finds it strange that her mother was no where to be found? And if Nolan is so important, how did that happen anyway? Still, I kept reading but the conflict that happened was just way too stupid for me to even take seriously. And the fact that so much of the book was wasted only for the drama to be over a miscommunication....because no one was adult enough to speak up??? I can't deal. Maybe if there was only one issue, ok, but all of this crap in the same book? Save.Your.Money!!!
I enjoyed this book but I didn't love it. I had a little trouble getting into it in the start as it kept changing POV - don't get me wrong I enjoy reading a story from multiple POV's but it was just tricky to get used to how it kept swapping POV all the time. Once I got used to the writing style I enjoyed the book and following Angela's journey of self discovery. Great ending to this book with no cliff hangers -) Overall an enjoyable read.
Good and enjoyable read from beginning to end. Another top notch book from this author. Worth the read. Thumbs up.
Only thing I didn't like was Angela's confrontation with her Step-father which couldn't have happened in real life, especially since she had security 24/7. Otherwise, I enjoyed the book. A lot of graphic sex scenes!
I love Angela over come being hurt, like that that how a story you can overcome pain and loss. How you can gain love again.
Although the subject is abhorrent, as an abused child myself, I know the feelings of the characters well. Happy endings for all of us!
